| CHY founded by James Chen, M.J. Huang, and C.C. Yeh with starting capital of $60K USD and eight employees including the founders (1984).
CHY Firemate Co., LTD formally registered with refillable lighters as first product (1985). CHY purchased the land where the current factory is located (1986). CHY starts manufacturing DMM and clamp meters after sister company CIE had too many orders (1987) Construction completed on current factory (1989). |
| 1990 - 1999 |
| Started manufacturing CATV splitter products (1990).
First in-house SMT line purchased (1994). ISO 9002 Qualified (1995). Started developing Special Meters (SM), which included thermometers and hygrometers (1996). CATV splitter business takes over with one of Japan's dominant supplier awarding business to CHY (1997). ISO 9002 Qualified (1999). |
| 2000 - 2009 |
| Total Quality Management (TQM) system implemented at CHY (2001).
During SARS outbreak, CHY had a spike in thermometer orders and was able to deliver steady amount of product throughout crisis (2003). ODM business starts picking up utilizing core technologies such as coating thickness, vacuum gauge, superheat, subcooling, and refrigerant leak detection (2005). One piece flow production cells introduced on CATV splitter products (2006). Wireless product first launched at Taitronics Show (2007). Wireless technologies makes it way into several products (2008). |

| First Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity released in products (2013).
Founder and President James Chen passes away (2019). Caroline Yeh takes over as President. |

| General Manager WY Chiang retires. Cy Kawasaki takes over as General Manager (2021).
Second manufacturing factory completed (2022). |
